Crazy Chicken: Director’s Cut in Review

The chickens smashed their way back onto Nintendo 3DS screens and into a movie studio! Now the critics are out to rate their performance in the latest Moorhuhn installment, Crazy Chicken: Director’s Cut!

Digitally Downloaded’s Chris I. summed up the shooter as “a fun little gallery shooter” with a “…cheap asking price and humourous approach…” adding that each new scene offers “a few new laughs in the process” as well as the inclusion of online leaderboards providing “a good deal of added replay value”.

For Darkain ArtsCrazy Chicken: Director’s Cut is a simple and entertaining game which is simple to pick up, easy to play and actually quite fun.” It was furthered described as possessing simple controls, animated levels and as being inexpensive, rating the game with an overall 7/10.

Gert Lush Gaming emphasized Director’s Cut as being “cheap and brings fun to your 3DS” with “great animations and graphics [that] bring the movie sets to life”. The “low price point” was also praised as offering “value for money”.

Robot Rescue 3D in Review!

The addictive puzzling series made it’s come back earlier this month with the consecutive installment released in 3D. Robot Rescue 3D, a mega pack, comprised of all the levels from the first two releases plus addition never before seen levels is now in review! Infendo’s Essel Pratt found the game’s replay factor to be a major plus, stating that “this game can be played for a few minutes, or a few hours, and still captivate the player,” adding that “if you are a fan of puzzle games, and are looking for the next big game, give Robot Rescue 3D a download and check it out!”

WiiLoveIt rated the game overall 70%, scoring the game-play 7/10 and extra content 5/5 further recommending that “anyone who likes the sound of a complicated brain teaser should at least consider tackling this budget-priced offering.”

NintendoLife also scored Robot Rescue 3D a 7/10 describing the game as a great game for new players to this “games’ unique, brain-bending puzzles” and if “this is your first robo-rodeo and you’re up for a serious challenge, these might just be the droids you’re looking for.”

Robot Rescue 3D’s rating soared high with Family Friendly Gaming rating the game overall 84%, with a 98% replay factor and an 88% game play factor. Overall, Sam from Family Friendly Gaming concentrated on the depth of the game-play indicting that “all of these concepts in Robot Rescue 3D will keep your brain on its toes – so to speak.”

So if you are looking for a smashing mega pack full of loads of Robot Rescue downtime, then maybe NintendoLife is spot on and these are the droids you are after, after all!

 

Bird Mania’s iOS release in review!

Bird Mania’s transition to iPhone and iPad came as a pleasant surprise to many and for those loyal fans of the original Nintendo 3DS version, the release raised hope and excitement for more of Bird Mania on Nintendo 3DS.

However, putting all future propositions and plans aside, I thought it would be about time to see what the general opinions and thoughts were about our latest iOS release with a short summary of the results.

Bird Mania was described by AppPicker as “a super addictive side scrolling action-adventure game that you just won’t want to put down” with the games’ upbeat music taking center stage. Thanks to our talented sound designer, Wiktor Kuna, the original piece of music even had fans wanting it as their ringtones!

Bird Mania Team 006 2 Bird Manias iOS release in review!

App Advice dove straight into the game play describing Bird Mania as “an entertaining game that is challenging enough to keep you coming back for more (…) Your bird picks up speed pretty fast and it is not easy keeping track of the birds, bushes, and bugs that you must avoid. The challenge is what makes it so fun.

148 Apps scored the games’ graphics and sound with an impressive 4/5, emphasizing the games “addictive quality that entices the player to put up their higher scores”.

Overall it seems that Bird Mania both on Nintendo 3DS and iOS made a great impression and created a loyal bunch of Bird Maniacs.  It seems that the hard work definitely paid off for our Bird Mania team!

Quick Review of Bird Mania 3DS

With the arrival on Bird Mania on iOS closing in we thought it would be a good idea to give you a roundup of reviews for Bird Mania 3D since it’s launch back in May 2012.

We may be a bit bias in saying that we think that Bird Mania is an awesomely addictive game, so instead we have summarized the reviews by gaming portals. Take a look at what reviewers were saying after its landing on Nintendo 3DS!

Reviews for the Spell-binding title, Wizard Defenders

Towards the end of last year, the collaborated title with Japanese developer, FunUnit, was released to US and European markets. Wizard Defenders brought with it a combination of tower defense and match-3 game play for all Nintendo DS enthusiasts to enjoy.

And we weren’t wrong there…

With our critics and fans all contributing to the latest discussion of how the game fared, we decided to sum up some of their opinions.

The team at Family Friendly Gaming, titled Wizard Defenders as an “interesting mixing of genres that can reach a wide array of gamers” giving a 90% rate for the game play, 74% for their ‘family friendly factor’ and an overall summed up score of 82 points.

Darkain Arts Gamers were also pleased with the game citing Wizard Defenders and its gameplay as ”fresh and enjoyable”  which “looks and sounds great”. The overall score given was 7/10.

On NintendoLife.com, members gave their own account of their experiences playing the game. ‘Nintendojuenger’ hailed the game as “worth the 200 points” while ‘BakaKnight’ also added that for its price it is a game that “can give few hours of fun”.

Overall, Wizard Defenders left a good impression as a challenging and fun game for everyone!
